Guerite Steinbacher: Born in Amsterdam, Holland. 1901 Resides in London,
Ontario Graduate of the University of Amsterdam. Holland (languages and
art(, For many years active in a variety of positions in the League for
Women Equal Rights and World Citizen ship in England. Egypt and Indonesia,
Instructor in crafts at Elliot Lake Centre for Continuing Education.
Participated in group exhibitions in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec
in Switzerland and Germany. and at the 4th International Biennial of
Tapestry in Lausanne, Switzerland. Had one-man exhibitions at the Pal lock
Gallery. Toronto: and with the Saskatchewan Arts Board. Received four
Canada Council grants (1968-71) and is represented in the collection of
