Janice Rigbey: Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, 1949, Resides in Toronto. Ontario Studied at Sheridan College, Ontario (certificate course): at the Penland School of Crafts, North Caroline, U.S.A.; and at the Danish Institute, Holbaek, Denmark, Taught textile arts at Mohawk College, Hamilton, Ontario, Made extensive study trips to work shops along the east coast of the United States and in Europe, Participated in group exhibitions in Ontario as well as in Montreal. Received the Craft Dimensions Canada Award, Royal Ontario Museum (1969): Awarded the Ontario Guild of Crafts travel - and study scholarship (1972).
