Marlene Honsa: Born in Germany Resides in Thornhill, Ontario. Graduate of the Ontario College of Art, Toronto, Post graduate studies at the Philadelphia College at Textiles and Science, Philadelphia, U.S.A. At present instructor at the Ontario College of Art, Design Department. Participate in many group exhibitions in Canada and also in Stuttgart Germany. Awarded the Governor Generals Medal (1961) A Canada Council grant(1967) and a special award for best designed tapestry in a group exhibition, Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto (1969) Public commissions include tapestries for new international Airport departure lobby in Vancouver, The United Trust Company, Head Office, Toronto, and the Board of Trade Country Club at Woodbridge Ontario.

The creation of architectural fibre forms that can exist in space is a constant process of exploration and discovery
