Canadian public Gallery Submission Deadlines PDF  | Print |  E-mail

If you want to be paid to exhibit your work you need to submit to galleries that pay artist fees which include;  ARC Artist Run Centers,

The folowing is a partial list of publicly funded profeesional galleries in Canada who both endores and pay exhibition fees as set out in Carfac's fee schedule.

At this point I must stress it is nessacary to read the submission guidelines of each carefully. Do not assume anything. While one gallery may want demensions in metric and with Hight X Width another may want the same information in Inches and feet and width by hight. Different gallries will want different labling of image files. There is no set standardand it becomes a way for a gallery to judge your seriousness in being a "Proffessional" artist wanting to show in their gallery. You might think this unimportant but it may make the diffence in weather you submission even makes it befor a selection committee.

Success may not nessacrily lie in the minuca but haveing recently served on a exhibtion jury I was  overwhelmingly sadden by the fact that if I had processed the submissions, which is something I have done while employed in galleries, most would have been returned or tossed because of quality of the image files. Few where near the quality needed.
